La exposici\u00f3n itinerante “Largo p\u00e9talo de mar”, de la Colecci\u00f3n MAVI UC, se instala en el Centro Cultural Pedro Aguirre Cerda de Calle Larga, Provincia de los Andes desde el 16 de diciembre de 2021 al 27 de febrero de 2022. Esta muestra presenta obras de la Colecci\u00f3n MAVI realizadas por Roser Bru y Jos\u00e9 Balmes. Ambos artistas obtuvieron el Premio Nacional de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas (en 2015 y 1999, respectivamente).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLargo p\u00e9talo de mar\u201d es el nombre de la novela que escribi\u00f3 Isabel Allende sobre el Winnipeg \u201cel barco de la solidaridad\u201d, de la mano de personajes que dan cuenta que el exilio y la migraci\u00f3n dejan huellas profundas, no solo para quienes deben huir, sino tambi\u00e9n para quienes acogen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLargo p\u00e9talo de mar, vino y nieve\u201d son palabras de Pablo Neruda para referirse a Chile, este pa\u00eds que recibi\u00f3 a 2201 espa\u00f1oles\/as el 3 de septiembre de 1939 en Valpara\u00edso gracias al compromiso del Presidente Pedro Aguirre Cerda. Entre estas personas ven\u00edan los adolescentes Roser Bru y Jos\u00e9 Balmes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

En ese barco acudi\u00f3 el arte, la po\u00e9tica del trazo de una mujer y un hombre con deseos fuert\u00edsimos de vivir y de denunciar los abusos, resabios de los horrores del exilio, la guerra civil y el fascismo. De ah\u00ed surgieron ambos artistas, siempre comprometidos con el entorno y con el tiempo, plasmado en sus pinturas mediante el trazo o la pincelada denunciando las injusticias del momento, haciendo visibles los problemas en cada etapa del camino recorrido y desde la m\u00e1s estricta honradez intelectual han interpelado una realidad no siempre c\u00f3moda de contemplar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambos fueron reconocidos con el Premio Nacional de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas por el invaluable aporte a las artes visuales no solo chilenas sino iberoamericanas.
